Unclaimed remains of two Centre Co. veterans to be moved to Fort Indiantown Gap Cemetery

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Centre County administrators this week had the difficult task of deciding how to best honor a couple of military veterans. For a few veterans, their passing isn’t followed with a funeral service as sometimes their remains go unclaimed. That’s the story for two veterans who died in the county. Batter up! Miracle League of Blair County celebrates opening day

ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) –- The Miracle League of Blair County held its annual opening day Saturday. “This is our 11th year of playing baseball here. We’ve had about 100 kids play every year. We have children from all over central Pennsylvania region,” said Joe Reed, president of the Miracle League of Blair County. Cambria County 911 dispatchers are 'Prepared Live'

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — The Cambria County Department of Emergency Services implemented a new life saving program on Tuesday. The program is called Prepared Live and allows Cambria County 911 services to receive G.P.S locations, multimedia and live streams from those who call using a cell phone. “This allows the 911 dispatchers to access callers cell phones where we can send a request for a live stream or a video to see first hand what the callers reporting to us," Read More...
