Former Centre County DA expresses remorse in bid to get her law license reinstated

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Former Centre County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller expressed remorse Monday during a state Supreme Court hearing in a bid to get her law license reinstated. Parks Miller’s law license was suspended by the Supreme Court in March of 2019 for a year and one day. Hallmark store in Westwood Plaza to close

JOHNSTOWN - A well-known store in the Westwood Plaza will soon be closing its doors. The Hallmark store on Minno Drive will be open at least through Valentine's Day and will be week-to-week after that as it sells its remaining inventory. The manager said the store will not operate past the end of March, when the lease runs out. “The Westwood Plaza location was independently owned, as are the majority of our stores, and our independent owners make business decisions based on their own circumstances,” Hallmark spokesman Andy Diorio said. Long-time Clearfield County Sheriff's Office employee retires

CLEARFIELD -- Marilyn Hamm retired from the Clearfield County Sheriff's Office after more than 43 years in the department and 44-plus years working with the county. Hamm took a job with the county in February of 1973, several years after graduating high school. She took the job at the sheriff's office in January of 1974. Over her more than 40 years, she said that the office has expanded drastically and has gone from one office to two and the workload has steadily increased over the years. Read More...
