The Centre County tax office says scammers have been calling residents and falsely claiming that tax bills are due. Centre County administrator John Franek says that the tax office would never ask for personal information like a credit card number over the phone. He says that if you get one of these calls, hang up, and immediately report it to the tax office and local law enforcement.

EBENSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — A Cambria County jury found a Johnstown man guilty of first-degree murder and aggravated assault Friday in the brutal slaying of a woman and dumping of her body in an alley trash area.
Police had charged 56-year-old Larry Fason in the November 2017 death of 32-year-old Angela Lunn after her body was found in an alley near the intersection of Bell Alley and Messenger Street in the Hornerstown section of the city. Read More...
